Recent Projects
Nancy Blackett
Built in 1931 by Hillyards of Littlehampton, and bought only 3 years later by Arthur Ransome, Nancy Blackett is now in the ownership of a Trust, set up to preserve, maintain, educate and charter this special little yacht. She was the inspiration for Ransome's 'We Didn't Mean to go to Sea', published in 1937 and set in Pin Mill. Over 2 winters we renewed the cabin and cockpit coamings, carried out deck and cabin top repairs, weld repaired and re galvanised the fife rails, new mast collar, deck beam replacement, relocation of bilge pumps, stem repair, new bespoke stainless 316 water tank and new water system, and topsides and deck painting.

Selina King
Selina King was built in our yard for Arthur Ransome in 1938. Her current owner has been restoring her for over 20 years, first in Bermuda and then in the UK, on the South coast. She came back to Pin Mill for us to make and fit a new mast and spars, complete with new bespoke fittings. Ironically, the spars were the only thing not originally built by Harry King.

Wallop
This beautiful 28ft yacht had a complete new deck structure, new deck, plank repairs, transom repairs, stem repairs, new forehatch, new deck furniture, and newly painted.
Wallop was shortlisted for 'Restoration of the year - 40ft and under' by Classic Boat Magazine Awards 2025.

Kashmi
This is a long term restoration project mainly involving a complete newly designed cockpit structure, cabin coaming repairs, and deck repairs.
